Land Surveyor


A Land Surveyor is a construction industry professional with expert knowledge in determining the terrestrial or three-dimensional position of points and the distances and angles between them. construction costs and contracts. These points are usually on the surface of the Earth, and they are often used to establish maps and boundaries for ownership, locations like building corners or the surface location of subsurface features, or other purposes required by government or civil law, such as property sales.


Job Responsibilities


Specific Responsibilities will include:​

  • Using Total Station to take readings, levels & measurements

  • Stakeout of large projects

  • Earthwork / Volume survey, working with CAD drawings

  • Report preparation in excel & taking out coordinates.

  • Digitization of physical features

  • Site visits, assessments and projections for future work

Job Qualifications


As a Land Surveyor you will need to be highly organized and detailed. The Successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Specific qualification includes:

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.

  • Experience using ArcGIS, QGIS or any other similar mapping software.

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering

  • Organizational and planning skills
