Quantity Surveyor


A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is a construction industry professional with expert knowledge on construction costs and contracts.He is generally responsible for figuring out just what a construction project is going to cost. His other roles includes making sure that construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible.


Job Responsibilities


Specific Responsibilities will include:​

  • Preparation of contracts, including details regarding quantities of required materials

  • On-going cost analysis of maintenance and repair work

  • Feasibility studies of client requests

  • Analysing completed work and arranging payment to contractors

  • Allocating upcoming work to contractors

  • Site visits, assessments and projections for future work

  • Value Engineering

Job Qualifications


As a Quantity Surveyor you will need to be highly organized and detailed. The Successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Specific qualification includes:


  • Experience with AutoCAD

  • Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures

  • Budgeting skills

  • Organizational and planning skills
