AACP Infrastructure Systems Pvt. Ltd. executed structural steel fabrication and strengthening works for the existing Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures at Bosch’s Beyond Phase-2 IT campus in Adugodi, Bangalore. The objective was to enhance overall structural integrity through continuous tie beam installation across the buildings.

Project Overview:

The works were executed within an operational IT campus, demanding strict adherence to safety, quality, and execution standards. The project was carried out under close inspection, meeting Bosch’s rigorous engineering and quality benchmarks for critical structural interventions.

Scope of Work:

  • Structural steel fabrication for tie beam strengthening
  • Cutting, fabrication, and erection of steel members
  • Installation of tie beams across existing PEB structures
  • Controlled erection sequencing to integrate new members
  • Sandblasting of steel sections for surface preparation
  • Application of approved protective paint systems
  • Coordination with client and PMC teams

    • Access Methodology & Safe Erection Strategy:

    Tie-beam areas:

  • Erection using two scissor lifts for safe access and precise positioning

    • Mezzanine areas:

  • Installation using chain pulleys with mobile scaffolding for confined zones

    • Engineering & Quality Excellence:

    Approximately 40 MT of structural steel was executed under stringent quality control procedures.

  • Sandblasting of all steel members
  • Paint thickness measurement using calibrated scanners
  • Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) for weld integrity
  • Continuous inspection under strict acceptance criteria

    Strengthening an existing PEB structure within a live facility required phased planning, controlled access equipment, precision fabrication, and rigorous inspection protocols to ensure seamless execution.
