Industrial Demolition & Scrap Recovery Works | Bosch Bangalore – AACP Infrastructure, AACP Infrastructure executed controlled demolition works at Bosch IT Buildings, Adugodi, Bangalore, including RCC structures, steel dismantling, and sustainable scrap recovery with minimal landfill disposal

Project Overview:

AACP Infrastructure Systems Pvt. Ltd. successfully executed controlled demolition and dismantling works at Bosch’s IT Campus in Adugodi, Bangalore, as part of the BAN103 Beyond Phase-2 development.

The scope included selective demolition of RCC structures, UPS and battery rooms, and ancillary scrap yard buildings within an active industrial environment. The project was delivered with a strong emphasis on safety, sustainability, and cost optimization, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations while fully complying with Bosch’s stringent safety procedures and engineering standards.

Scope of Work:

  • Selective dismantling of RCC structures (excluding grade slab and footings)
  • Demolition of blockwork, stone masonry, and roof sheet structures
  • Dismantling of framed steel structures including columns, trusses, and purlins
  • Mechanical demolition using excavator-mounted breakers
  • Segregation of demolition debris at source
  • Scrap recovery, buy-back, and material salvaging
  • Loading, transportation, and disposal of concrete debris as per local authority norms
  • Execution strictly in compliance with Bosch safety manuals and site protocols
  • Sustainability & Cost Optimization:

A key highlight of this project was AACP’s sustainable demolition approach.

  • Salvaged steel and reusable scrap materials were recovered and buy-back adjusted
  • Reusable materials were preserved for future use instead of disposal
  • Only non-recoverable concrete debris was sent to authorized dumping yards
  • This approach significantly reduced demolition costs while minimizing landfill impact
  • Execution Challenges & Solutions:

    Challenge:

Demolition within a live industrial campus with strict safety, access, and operational controls.

    Solution:

Phased dismantling, controlled work zones, trained manpower, and strict adherence to Bosch’s safety procedures ensured safe execution without disruption to ongoing campus operations.

    Outcome & Value Delivered:

  • Safe and controlled demolition within an operational industrial facility
  • Reduced project cost through efficient scrap recovery and buy-back
  • Minimal environmental impact with reduced landfill disposal
  • Full compliance with client safety, quality, and engineering standards
