Construction of emission yard roads.

Road works inside Toyota Kirloskar Motors is always a challenging task.

Operational Constraints Inside Manufacturing Facility:

With strict safety and quality restriction in place, construction activities need to be carried out without disturbing the operations of the manufacturing plant. This constraint placed on us requires us to be diligent and have strict control over our schedule in order to complete any works within the period allotted to us. Failure to adhere would lead to disruption of the activities of the plant and consequent financial losses.

Project Scope and Duration:

This particular road work required us laying about 1000 sqm of asphalt roads over 15 days.

Construction Activities:

Activities include but not limited to dismantling RCC flooring, groove cutting in asphalt, providing barrication, excavating, and relaying, Granular Sub Base (GSB), Wet Mix Macadam (WMM), Prime Coat, Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM), Tack Coat & Asphalting Concrete (AC) & relaying GSB, bitumen, tack coat, etc. & relaying GSB, bitumen, tack coat, etc.

Associated Civil Works:

Civil works such as paver block laying, kerbstone laying, about 50m of RCC Drains, etc. were also part of the work involved.

Vehicle movement became safer and smoother.
