A Quantity Surveyor (QS) is a construction industry professional with expert knowledge on construction costs and contracts.He is generally responsible for figuring out just what a construction project is going to cost. His other roles includes making sure that construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible.
Job Responsibilities
- Contract Preparation: Prepare contracts, including detailed quantities of required materials.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct ongoing cost analysis of maintenance and repair work.
- Feasibility Studies: Perform feasibility studies for client requests and project requirements.
- Payment Coordination: Analyze completed work and arrange payments to contractors.
- Work Allocation: Allocate upcoming work to contractors based on project requirements.
- Site Assessments: Conduct site visits, assessments, and projections for future work.
- Value Engineering: Apply value engineering techniques to optimize cost, quality, and performance.
Job Qualifications
