Quality engineers are responsible for monitoring the quality of civil construction and developing standards and processes for maintaining or improving quality.
Job Responsibilities
- QA/QC Plan Implementation: Monitor and administer the QA/QC plan to ensure materials comply with approved specifications.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure work is performed in accordance with contract requirements and quality standards.
- Material & Workmanship Quality: Assure acceptable quality of materials, processes, and workmanship.
- Inspection Support: Assist QA/QC Engineers with inspections, including reinforcement checks as per drawings.
- Material Receiving Reports: Issue material receiving reports for delivered materials.
- Concrete Works Monitoring: Supervise concreting works, including slump tests and preparation of concrete cubes for compressive testing.
- Quality System Compliance: Maintain company quality standards in line with Quality Management System requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Professional Attributes: Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Testing Experience: Hands-on experience conducting quality tests on soil and concrete.
- Laboratory Management: Experience independently handling and managing site quality laboratories.
- Technical Exposure: Experience in earthworks, roadworks, and civil structures.
