Project Control Engineer

Project Controls Engineers are responsible for developing standards and processes for monitoring the progress of the projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Cost & Schedule Management: Oversee and plan cost and schedule metrics using work breakdown structures and project control tools.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Collect, track, analyze, and report performance data including costs, labor hours, earned value, productivity, and project risks.
  • Change Management: Identify and track changes to project scope, ensuring cost and schedule impacts are clearly estimated and communicated.
  • Systems Integration: Integrate cost and schedule data with accounting and management information systems to support financial and performance goals.
  • Project Controls & Analysis: Participate in change control, document control, and critical path method (CPM) network analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of project controls specialists, including work direction, mentoring, hiring support, and salary administration.
  • Quality Compliance: Maintain company quality standards in line with Quality Management System requirements.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support project objectives.

Job Qualifications

  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Multi-Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic construction processes and procedures.
  • Budgeting Expertise: Proven budgeting, forecasting, and cost control skills.
  • Planning Ability: Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills.
